The Westminster Suite closes on 3 June for a twelve week period of comprehensive refurbishment. The Suite will re-open on 4 September with a fresh and distinctive style created by Tropus, the London based design and project management company headed by Graham Farrer.

Commenting on the investment, Managing Director Jonathan Slater said "The UK conference market is becoming more competitive than ever and we believe in taking a pro-active approach to this fast moving sector of the industry. Over the last two years the hotel has undertaken a huge amount of research in the UK MICE market with the assistance of our trusted design team at Tropus and Sally Greenhill at The Right Solution. This was essential to ensure we developed a design that is multi-functional yet sophisticated. The challenge was to create an elegant yet flexible meeting and private dining space and also to ensure the latest intelligent technology was incorporated at all levels of the renovation. We are aware that meeting planners' expectations are escalating and we feel confident that the new meeting and private dining facilities at The Chester Grosvenor and Spa will exceed their expectations. The refurbishment of The Westminster Suite positions the conference facilities at the hotel amongst the best in the country and provides a competitive edge not only locally but nationally and internationally".

The hotel will be launching "the refurb" at International Confex from 20-22 February at Earls Court, London. The microsite of "the refurb" including conceptual images, latest news, and, once work has started, live web broadcasts and short videos will be live on Monday 22 January.
