The room was previously named the Venetian Room as it was home to a large collection of Venetian glass chandeliers belonging to The Duke of Westminster’s Estate. The attractive room featured a large fireplace, floor to ceiling sash windows with heavy drapes and a traditional pink and green décor. The room was previously used in the main part for weddings and private dining but was not ideally suited to such events as the hotel kitchens are one floor and several corridors away. The decision was therefore made to enhance the already excellent meetings and events facilities by creating the most up to the minute and luxurious executive boardroom possible. The chandeliers, fireplace and heavy drapes were replaced by sleek furnishings, a bespoke rhombus shaped boardroom table for up to 20 delegates, giant plasma screens and touch screen handheld control modules for all the integral AV equipment and blackout blinds. The only remaining feature being the huge sash windows which allow natural daylight to create an inspiring and motivating environment for business meetings of all varieties.

The Eaton Suite also has its own foyer area with bespoke glass reception desk, office equipment and plasma screen.

The £3 million refurbishment of The Westminster Suite was completed on 4^th September. The new suite has exceeded expectations in every way and has succeeded in positioning the conference facilities in the hotel amongst the best in the country, proving a competitive edge not only locally but nationally and internationally.

The faded grandeur of the silk tented ceilings, chandeliers, old school mahogany panelling and stained glass skylights was replaced with stylish contemporary coffered lighting, luxurious furnishings and bespoke artwork with up to the minute technology incorporated at every level.

The new Westminster Suite is a uniquely flexible space combining multi functionality and sophistication in one contemporary design. A revolutionary soundproofing system was used to enable several different events to take place at any one time within the various layouts of the suite.
